Anastasia Markopoulou is a rheumatologist trained in the United States. She has many years of experience at major university hospitals in the U.S. in treating both complex and simple, everyday rheumatological cases. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Albany Medical College, Albany Medical Center in New York State, and her fellowship in Rheumatology at Columbia University, New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, with further training at Harvard University and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She worked for many years as a rheumatologist at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and is an Assistant Professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. She specializes in musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided intra-articular injections of medications, having graduated from USSONAR (Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists) and receiving certification from the American College of Rheumatology (RhMSUS).<\/p>\n

He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and participates in continuing education in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology (maintenance of certification) provided by the American<\/u> Board<\/u> of<\/u> Internal<\/u> Medicine<\/u>. <\/u><\/a><\/p>\n
